One of the best things about teaching in preschool or elementary is the ability to decorate your classroom door for the season! There are so many fun classroom door decorations out there, but one of my very favorite seasons to decorate for is Halloween!

It’s also always a good time to promote kindness in your classroom. This door design will last until spring flowers start to bloom. Why stop at the door when you can create a whole house? If your students love Ezra Jack Keats’The Snowy Day, try re-creating one of the book’s iconic illustrations. The use of felt here adds a nice touch of texture. Image only would not only look great on the door but as a bulletin board. I love that the students get to help make tiny ghosts from white paper. You could create the wood boards out of cut-up cardboard. Kids love arriving at school and getting to see the creative doors.

Get a huge reaction from your students with this larger than life spider door this Halloween. After you cut out the eyeballs it’s very easy to assemble. It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown has been a favorite among kids and parents for nearly 60 years now. This door design is a bit more work than some of the others below, but if you have the time and patience to make it, it will be a huge hit.
